Allwinner A133 Firmware Install
Enter FEL mode (Allwinner’s low-level bootloader):
PhoenixSuit will detect the device and pop up: “Found a device in FEL mode. Do you want to flash?” → Click Yes.
Flashing begins – you’ll see a progress bar:
Upon completion (100% green), PhoenixSuit says “Firmware upgrade successful!” → Click OK.
Disconnect the USB cable – the device will reboot automatically. If not, hold power for 10 seconds.
LiveSuit is an older tool but still works. The process is nearly identical but less robust. Avoid it unless PhoenixSuit consistently fails. If you must:
Once loaded, PhoenixSuit will display a summary (version, size, partitions). Verify it looks plausible.
The A133 is a generic chip, but firmware is device-specific. A firmware from a Teclast tablet will NOT work on a generic POS terminal. To find the correct firmware:
"Firmware check failed":
Tablet turns on but screen is black or distorted:
"Action stopped" error:
This is the most delicate step. Do it carefully:
While holding the button/shorting the test points, plug the other end of the USB cable into the A133 device’s OTG port.
Release the button or test points after 2-3 seconds.
What you should see in Windows:
Warning: This will erase all data on the device. Click "Yes" or "OK" to proceed.
Verify functionality: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, audio, display orientation, USB ports.
If your USB port is broken or you cannot enter FEL mode, you can flash using a MicroSD card. allwinner a133 firmware install
