Once installed, the Bengoo KM-1 software provides a user interface (UI) that is utilitarian and functional. It allows for deep customization across four main categories:

The KM-1 features customizable RGB backlighting. Through the software, users can:

You can create up to 5 or 6 discrete profiles.

Switching Profiles: Assign a button (typically the DPI cycle button) to "Profile Switch." Hold it for 3 seconds to cycle. The mouse will change LED color to indicate which profile is active.

Here you control the sensor. The KM-1 usually supports 4 or 5 DPI stages.

  • DPI Display Color: Each DPI stage can have a unique static LED color. This is how you know which DPI you are in without the software.
  • Sensitivity (Windows Pointer Speed): Leave this at the default (10/20) and adjust DPI instead.
  • Report Rate (Polling):
  • Scroll Speed: Adjust how many lines the wheel scrolls per notch.
  • Do not use random driver download sites. The safest method is from the product listing where you bought the mouse (Amazon, AliExpress, etc.).

⚠️ Warning: Many third-party sites bundle adware. Always scan downloaded files with Windows Defender or Malwarebytes.

Without the dedicated configuration utility, your Bengoo KM-1 is just a standard 3-button mouse. Here’s what the software unlocks:

The software requires the mouse to be physically connected via USB. If you try to open the software without the mouse plugged in, you will likely see an error: "Please connect Bengoo KM-1 device."
