⚠️ Never mix models – flashing BBF100-2 firmware on a BBF100-1 can brick the radio permanently. Autoloaders are model- and region-specific
| Error Message | Cause | Fix | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | "Sahara Failed. Communication error." | Wrong driver or loose USB connection | Reinstall Qualcomm 9008 drivers. Try a USB 2.0 port. | | "Invalid download mode. Device is locked." | Disable OEM unlock not checked | You cannot flash a different region's autoloader. Use correct model. | | "Cannot read from COM port." | Another process (QDL tool) is using the port | Restart PC. Close all other flashing tools. | | "Hash mismatch" | Corrupted autoloader download | Re-download the file from a trusted mirror. | | Post-flash: No cellular signal | Modem partition didn't flash or region mismatch | Re-run autoloader with a full-wipe script. | ⚠️ Never mix models – flashing BBF100-2 firmware
Unlike iPhones, which utilize a largely universal firmware architecture (with some regional variations), BlackBerry Key2 Autoloaders are variant-specific. The BBF100-1 (Global/America) and BBF100-6 (Asia/Europe) utilize different radio bands and secure boot keys. Flashing an incorrect Autoloader results in a "hard brick" or loss of cellular functionality, necessitating strict adherence to SKU verification before deployment.
Warning: This process will erase everything on your phone. If your phone is functioning enough to backup photos or contacts, do it now. If the phone is already dead, your data is likely lost.
