Daemon: Tools Sign Check Error
The error occurs because of Windows Driver Signature Enforcement. Daemon Tools relies on a kernel-mode driver (SCSI Pass Through Direct, or SPTD) to create virtual drives. For security, Windows requires all kernel drivers to have a valid digital signature. If the Daemon Tools installer or driver is old, or the signature has expired/revoked, Windows blocks it, resulting in this error.
The "Sign Check Error" typically appears during installation or startup of Daemon Tools (especially versions before DT Lite 10). It means the software’s kernel drivers (dtsoftbus01.sys, dtlitescsibus.sys, etc.) lack a valid digital signature or Windows has blocked them for security reasons.
Common error messages:
Before smashing your keyboard, understand the problem. Modern versions of Windows (10 and 11) require all kernel-mode drivers to be digitally signed by Microsoft. Daemon Tools uses a low-level SCSI driver to emulate a physical disc drive.
The "Sign Check Error" appears when Windows rejects Daemon Tools' digital signature. This usually happens for three reasons: daemon tools sign check error

Steps:
Daemon Tools does not play nicely with other virtual drive software. If you have PowerISO, Alcohol 120%, WinCDEmu, or Virtual CloneDrive installed, they will fight over the SCSI driver resources. The "Sign Check Error" typically appears during installation
