Asset Library Offline | Download Enscape

Unlike older rendering engines that required you to download massive "packs" of assets to your hard drive, Enscape uses a Cloud-First approach.

Once the assets are cached locally on the source machine:

  • Copy the entire root directory to a high-capacity external storage device (SSD/HDD).
  • You will see a toggle or button that says "Use offline assets" or "Download all assets."

We’ve all been there. You’re on a tight deadline, working remotely from a coffee shop (or a plane), and you need to place a specific Entoourage tree or a Herman Miller chair into your render. You open the Enscape Asset Library... and you see spinning gray circles.

    The dreaded "Loading" screen.

Enscape’s cloud-based asset library is incredible, but relying on an internet connection is a bottleneck. Fortunately, Enscape allows you to download the entire 3D asset library directly to your local drive.

Here is your step-by-step guide to going offline with Enscape.

Once downloaded, you are not locked into offline mode. Enscape allows you to toggle between Online (streaming) and Offline (local) modes.

If you are a professional rendering daily, do not skip this. The difference between waiting 5 seconds per asset and 0.2 seconds per asset adds up to hours saved per week.

Take an hour over lunch, download the offline library, and never wait for a loading spinner again.

Note: This feature is available for Enscape 2.9 and newer. If you are on a legacy version (2.8 or older), you must update your license to access offline functionality.
