Directed by Ajay K. Pannalal, The Behen Hogi Teri stars Rajkummar Rao as Gattu, a charming but lazy young man living in a Lucknowi neighborhood (mohalla). He is head-over-heels in love with his childhood friend Binni, played by Shruti Haasan.
The central conflict is pure Bollywood gold—and agony. Binni’s family announces that they will only marry her into a family that has a “bhai-behen” (brother-sister) relationship with Gattu’s family. To stay close to her, Gattu is forced to convince the entire neighborhood that Binni is his sister.
