If you previously bought/downloaded an app for Windows 10 Mobile (not WP8.1 or earlier):

Problem: "The XAP file downloaded is 0KB or corrupt."
Solution: The archive link is dead. Try a different source. XAP files are typically between 1MB and 100MB. If it is smaller than 500 bytes, it is a stub. | Tool | Purpose | Supports | |------|---------|----------|

Problem: "My PC says APPX is an unrecognized file type."
Solution: APPX files are just ZIP containers. Rename .appx to .zip to extract the contents. To install, you need the Add-AppxPackage PowerShell cmdlet or the Windows Phone SDK.

Problem: "The app downloads but won't install on my Lumia 950."
Solution: 64-bit ARM compatibility issues. WP8 XAP files will NOT run on Windows 10 Mobile ARM64. You need the correct architecture: ARM (for old phones) vs ARM64 (for Lumia 950/950XL).
