Emule Kad Server - List

KAD stands for Kademlia, a decentralized protocol built into eMule. Unlike the server-based network, KAD has no central point of failure. It uses a distributed hash table (DHT) where every client helps store and locate information about files and other users.

In KAD, you don’t need a “server list” because there are no servers. Instead, you need at least one bootstrapping node—an initial contact point (e.g., a known KAD node’s IP and port) to enter the network. Once connected, your eMule client discovers other nodes automatically.

You don't need to type each one manually. Copy the following URL into your eMule "Update Server.met from URL" box: emule kad server list

This URL updates automatically every day. Set eMule to check this URL once a week. KAD stands for Kademlia , a decentralized protocol

If your eMule refuses to connect to those, you need a fresh nodes.dat file.

If your KAD status says "Firewalled", you are missing 80% of the network.

KAD (Kademlia) is a decentralized network. Instead of asking a central server, your client asks its immediate neighbors, who ask their neighbors, creating a web of connections.

The Golden Rule: For maximum search results and download speeds, you need both a fresh server list and an active KAD connection.
