Festo Fluidsim Change Language Instant

Overall Verdict: Simple, quick, but limited language options. No in-software language switcher while editing a project.

No internal switcher. Relies entirely on the installer language. To change languages, you must use the Windows Control Panel > Uninstall a program to remove it, then reinstall from a multilingual ISO file, selecting English during setup.


Most modern versions of Fluidsim include a built-in language selector.

Step 1: Launch Festo Fluidsim.

Step 2: Look at the top menu bar. Click on "Extras" (if your current language is German) or "Tools" (if currently in English).

Step 3: From the dropdown menu, select "Options" (or "Einstellungen" in German).

FluidSIM 7 is now co-developed with PHOENIX Contact. The language switcher is in the File > Settings > General tab. Look for "Application Language." It supports real-time switching without restart in some builds.

If you cannot change language in-app, reinstalling or repairing the installation often allows selecting a language.
