For the uninitiated, Rocky Handsome is the official remake of the Korean cult classic The Man from Nowhere. The story follows Kabir (John Abraham), a reclusive pawn shop owner with a dark past, who tears apart the Goa drug mafia to rescue a little girl, Naomi, who is his only friend.

The film has everything: slick action, emotional depth, and a villainous Nishikant Kamat. Yet, despite its quality, Rocky Handsome was a sleeper hit at best in the box office. It didn't find its massive audience in theaters; it found them online.
