Jay returns from the basement, holding a leather-bound journal.

JAY Found this in a weird crate. Says “Elias Woodstone – Confessions.”

HETTY (freezes) Elias? My husband?

The ghosts gather. Sam opens the journal. The handwriting is frantic.

The mirror SHATTERS. But instead of breaking apart, the shards float and form a SPIRAL DOORWAY in mid-air.

HETTY Oh, fiddlesticks.

From the doorway, a warm golden light pours out. The ghosts feel something they haven’t felt in centuries: a gentle PULL.

PETE Is that… the afterlife?

THE GHOSTS (in unison) We can leave?

But before anyone can move, the owl from before reappears. It lands on the mirror-frame doorway. It hoots softly.

SAM It’s not a trap. It’s a choice.
