To properly manage, back up, or transfer your Grim Soul: Dark Fantasy Survival

save data, you can use either official cloud synchronization or manual file manipulation on Android. Method 1: Official Cloud Sync (Recommended)

This is the safest way to ensure your progress is backed up to the developers' servers and can be restored across devices using the same OS (e.g., Android to Android). Grim Soul FAQ Check Connection : Open the in-game (gear icon). If the button says "Disconnect,"

your account is already bound to Google Play or Game Center. Bind Account : If it says "Connect,"

tap it to sign in. Your progress will now save automatically to the cloud. : On a new device, log in with the

Google Play/Game Center account. After launching the game, it should prompt you to load your saved progress. If not, go to Settings and tap Grim Soul FAQ Method 2: Manual Save Data Backup (Android Only)

If you need to manually "download" and "install" save files (e.g., for creating a local backup or moving to a device without cloud sync), follow these steps: Finding and Backing Up Files: File Manager app (like ZArchiver or the built-in "Files"). Navigate to: Internal Storage/Android/data/ Locate the folder named com.fantasy.survival.rpg (it often features the game's icon).

this entire folder and paste it into a safe location, such as your SD card, Google Drive, or a PC. Installing/Restoring Backed-Up Files:

Install a fresh version of Grim Soul on the target device and launch it once, then close it completely. Using a File Manager, navigate back to Internal Storage/Android/data/ Delete the existing com.fantasy.survival.rpg Paste your folder into the Android/data/ directory.

Launch the game. It should now load the progress from your backup. Cross-Platform Transfers (Android to iOS) Progress does automatically sync between Android and iOS.

If your device is not rooted/jailbroken, you cannot manually install a save file. Instead, use cloud saves:

Limitation: You can only load saves that originated from your own account (due to server-side validation).

| Problem | Likely Cause | Solution | |--------|--------------|----------| | Game starts from tutorial | Wrong file path or file name | Make sure the file name matches exactly (case-sensitive) | | “Failed to load data” | Version mismatch | Find a save file made for your exact game version | | File disappears after launch | Game overwrites it on startup | Force stop game, replace file, set permissions, then launch without internet first | | Not rooted / no virtual space | Can’t access data folder | Install VMOS or similar virtual Android environment |
