Heroes Evolved - Glyphs Guide

There is no "one size fits all" Glyph build. Equipping a tank build on an assassin will render you ineffective, while a squishy mage build on a frontline warrior will get you deleted in seconds. To build effectively, you must understand the three primary archetypes.

| Tier | Color Border | Stat Efficiency | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Common | Gray | Low | | Rare | Blue | Medium | | Epic | Purple | High | | Legendary | Orange | Highest |

Tip: Always prioritize Legendary glyphs first, then Epic. Common/Rare are only temporary fillers.

Glyphs are passive stat bonuses that apply to all your heroes before a match begins. Unlike items, which you earn during a game, Glyphs provide immediate stats from level 1. They are divided into four distinct color-coded categories, each representing a different phase or aspect of combat:

You unlock Glyph slots as you level your Summoner profile. By level 30, you will have access to 30 total slots (9 Red, 9 Blue, 9 Green, 3 Purple).

Best for: Mages (e.g., Alla, Menal, Jaara) and Magic-based Supports. Goal: Burst damage and mana sustainability.

  • Blue Slots (Sustain): Cooldown Reduction (CDR) or Mana Regen.
  • Purple Slots (Pierce): Magic Pierce.
  • No Hero has evolved this one in living memory. Its name is UNSPOKEN.

Now get out there, optimize your pages, and dominate the lane!

In Heroes Evolved , the Glyph system is a core customization feature that provides permanent stat boosts and unique gameplay bonuses to your heroes. Unlike in-match items, Glyphs are part of an "off-side" page that grants you a head start in every battle. Core Glyph Mechanics

Jewels and Slots: The system revolves around placing Jewels into specific Glyph slots. You unlock more slots as your player account levels up.

Jewel Tiers: Jewels range from Level 1 to Level 5. Upgrading a jewel requires merging four jewels of the same level; the specific type of jewel doesn't matter for the merge process.

Color-Coded Categories: Glyphs are generally divided into three colors, each focusing on different roles:

Red: Typically focuses on offensive stats like Physical Attack, Magic Attack, or Armor Penetration. heroes evolved glyphs guide

Blue: Usually dedicated to defensive stats like Health (HP), Armor, and Magic Resistance.

Green: Focuses on utility stats like Mana Regeneration, Cooldown Reduction, and Movement Speed. Major vs. Minor Glyphs

Each color category features "Major" and "Minor" variants that provide specific passive effects: Green Major Glyphs:

Back and Forth: Allows you to teleport to allied units (like creeps), which is critical for map rotations.

Life and Death: Heals nearby allies for 5% of their max health and restores mana.

Devourer: Restores 50% of your remaining mana after killing an enemy hero, ideal for high-damage dealers who burn through mana quickly. New Utility Glyphs:

Mysterious Veil: A newer addition that grants a stack of protection, reducing the duration of the first strong crowd control (CC) that hits you by 40–70%. Recommended Builds by Role

While you can customize your pages, high-ranked players often follow these general role-based priorities: Priority Stats Recommended Major Glyph Marksman (ADC) Attack Speed, Life Steal, Damage Devourer (for mana) Mage Spell Power, Magic Life Steal, CD Reduction Devourer or Back and Forth Tank HP, Armor, Magic Resist Life and Death Assassin Damage, Armor Pen, Life Steal Back and Forth (for ganking) Tips for Efficiency

Universal Starter Set: If you are short on Gold or Jewels, many players recommend a Tank Build (HP, Armor, Magic Resist, Movement Speed) as it provides survivability that is useful for every hero type while you build up your collection.

Auto-Merge: Modern updates allow for bulk merging, saving you from manually clicking through hundreds of low-level jewels.

Build Synergy: Avoid using the Devourer glyph if your standard item build already includes heavy mana regeneration items, as the slot could be better used for utility.

Heroes Evolved , Glyphs (often integrated with the Jewel system) provide critical passive stat boosts unique gameplay effects There is no "one size fits all" Glyph build

like mana regeneration, reduced respawn timers, and enhanced teleportation. These are managed through a "socket system" where you equip various jewels to unlock specific glyph bonuses for your hero. Core Glyph Types & Effects

Glyphs are typically categorized by the color of the jewels they are associated with (Red, Blue, or Green) and provide both "Minor" and "Major" benefits: Green Glyphs (Utility & Sustainability) Devourer (Minor) : Restores 10% remaining mana after killing creeps or jungle monsters. Devourer (Major) : Restores 50% remaining mana

upon killing an enemy hero, ideal for high-damage carries to avoid frequent base trips. Back and Forth (Major) : Allows teleporting to allied units (creeps)

instead of just towers, significantly improving lane pushing and map rotation. Life and Death respawn time by 15% (Minor) or heals nearby allies for and 200 mana (Major). Red & Blue Glyphs (Offense & Defense) Boost core combat stats such as Physical/Magic Attack Attack Speed Life Steal Provide essential defense like Magic Defense Jewel Integration The strength of these bonuses is tied to your Jewel level (up to Level 5). Acquisition

: Low-level jewels (1-3) can be bought with Gold or Gems; higher levels (4-5) must be created via the Merge function , which requires five jewels of the same level to upgrade. Prioritization : Prioritize Attack (ATK) Penetration gems to maximize damage output. Tanks/Supports : Prioritize to improve frontline survivability.

Watch these video guides to see optimal glyph setups and strategies for specific hero roles:

Heroes Evolved , Glyphs are essentially passive masteries or "skill tree" bonuses that complement your Jewel stats. While Jewels provide raw attributes (like Attack or Health), Glyphs offer utility effects such as mana restoration, cooldown reduction, or teleportation buffs . Proper Glyph Pieces by Color

Glyphs are divided into three primary categories based on their slot color. Most competitive players focus on the following "best-in-slot" pieces: Red Glyphs (Offense) These focus on boosting damage output and sustain.

Miser/Skill Master: Preferred for physical damage dealers or those relying heavily on skill spamming .

Strength/Agility: Standard raw stat boosters depending on your hero’s primary attribute . Blue Glyphs (Defense & Utility) These provide survival and gold-farming benefits.

Bounty Hunter: Highly recommended for most roles to accelerate gold gain and reach item power spikes faster .

Defense: Standard for tanks and bruisers to increase effective HP . Green Glyphs (Support & Movement) These focus on mana management and map mobility. Tip: Always prioritize Legendary glyphs first, then Epic

Devourer (Major/Minor): Restores mana upon killing troops or heroes. Minor Devourer is great for laning, while Major Devourer is essential for high-mana damage dealers to avoid frequent basing .

Back and Forth (Major): A "pro" choice that allows you to teleport to allied units (creeps) instead of just buildings, enabling much faster rotations and lane pressure .

Racer: Increases movement speed, which is universally useful for chasing or escaping . Strategic Setup Tips

Avoid Overlap: If your item build already includes high mana regeneration, skip the Devourer glyph to focus on mobility or health instead . Role Specifics:

AD Carries: Prioritize Major Devourer (mana sustain) and Bounty Hunter (gold) .

Mages: Focus on Spell Power jewels and glyphs that reduce ability cooldowns .

Support/Tanks: Use Life and Death to reduce respawn timers and provide small heals to nearby allies during teamfights . Managing Your Glyphs

Unlocking: Glyphs are tied to your hero's Promotion Rank. They unlock clockwise starting at Blue Rank and finish at Violet+2 .

Jewel Synergy: Remember that Glyphs only "activate" their full potential when you have the corresponding level of Jewels slotted on that page. You can purchase Level 1-3 Jewels with gold, but Level 4 and 5 must be merged .
