The Halloween Ritual (often called the "Night of the Lost Souls" event by veteran players) is a hidden, multi-step process that triggers a special in-game event. Unlike regular seasonal updates that auto-activate in October, this ritual can be performed any time of year—provided you have the correct items.

The ritual can only be activated between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM in-game time. You cannot sleep through this. Use a clock or build a Sundial Block to track the time.

The ritual summons three aggressive mobs: Shade Wisps. They look like floating, grinning sheets with purple auras.

Once all three are defeated, they drop Spectral Dust. Pick it up immediately.

Lovely Craft is known for its adorable aesthetics, cozy building mechanics, and surprisingly deep hidden secrets. Among these secrets, the Halloween Ritual is one of the most sought-after events. While the game is typically bright and cheerful, this ritual temporarily transforms your world into a spooky, ghost-laden Halloween wonderland, rewarding you with exclusive items, a unique pet, and a permanent holiday theme toggle.

If you’ve been wandering around your blocky world wondering how to summon the Great Pumpkin or unlock the elusive Phantom Fox, you’ve come to the right place. This guide will walk you through every single step of the Halloween Ritual, from gathering materials to completing the final incantation.

Take the pumpkin gourd containing the cracked Memory Stone and place it outside your virtual door (just drag it to the doorstep icon). This returns the released memory to the earth.

Return to your Altar Table. The Ember Threads will be gone — spent. The Whisper Candle will be a small nub of wax you can keep as a charm.

Speak the closing (type or select):

“Stitch closed the seam. Thank you for the thread. Until next thinning, rest you quiet.”

The ritual is complete.

Click the Whisper Candle to light it. A small pop-up text box will appear. Type or select the following incantation:

“Thread between the worlds, stitch the dark with light.
What was lost may visit; what has weight, take flight.”

The flame will flicker purple for a moment. This is normal.

You don’t buy these. You craft or find them in the game’s world:
