At its heart, Hunters follows Jonah Heidelbaum (Logan Lerman), a young Jewish math prodigy whose grandmother is murdered under mysterious circumstances. He discovers that she was part of "The Hunters," a vigilante group led by the eccentric, Torah-quoting, and ruthless Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino). The group’s mission: hunt down and execute hundreds of Nazi war criminals living clandestine lives in America as part of the real-life CIA program, Operation Paperclip.

The first season builds to a shocking revelation: Meyer Offerman is not who he seems—he is actually "The Wolf," a former Nazi commandant who assumed a Jewish survivor’s identity.
