Imagenomic Portraiture 4.5 Build 4501 -

The Resistance Banker

Synopsis

In the occupied Netherlands during World War II, banker Walraven van Hall (Barry Atsma) is asked to use his financial contacts to help the Dutch resistance. He doesn’t have to think about it for long. With his brother Gijs van Hall (Jacob Derwig), he comes up with a risky plan to take out huge loans and use the money to finance the resistance.

When this proves not enough, the brothers set about committing the biggest banking fraud in Dutch history, taking tens of millions of guilders out of the Dutch Central Bank – right under the noses of the Nazis.

But the bigger the operation gets, the more people it involves. And every day brings a bigger risk of someone making that one mistake that could put an end to the whole business – and the lives of the resistance bankers.

For high-volume photographers (such as those shooting weddings or school portraits), the "Default" preset is often all that is needed. Portraiture 4.5 allows users to create and save custom presets.

In the world of professional photography and high-end retouching, time is money, and quality is currency. For years, Imagenomic has been the industry standard for skin retouching plugins. With the release of Imagenomic Portraiture 4.5 Build 4501, the company has solidified its reputation as the go-to solution for photographers who want flawless skin texture without the laborious hours spent on pixel-level healing and cloning.

This article explores the features, improvements, and practical applications of this specific build, highlighting why it remains an essential tool in the modern photographer’s arsenal.

We tested a 50MP RAW file (Canon R5) on a Windows 11 PC (Ryzen 9, 64GB RAM) and an M3 Max MacBook Pro.

Imagenomic rarely publishes exhaustive changelogs, but based on performance analysis and user reports, Build 4501 introduces five critical updates: Imagenomic Portraiture 4.5 Build 4501

Introduction Imagenomic Portraiture 4.5 (Build 4501) is a specialized portrait-retouching plugin for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom designed to automate and refine skin-smoothing, selective retouching, and certain enhancement tasks while preserving natural texture. Building on earlier Portraiture releases, the 4.x series introduced AI-assisted masking, speed optimizations, and workflow-focused controls intended for professional photographers, retouchers, and studios that require consistent, high-quality results at scale.

Core purpose and positioning Portraiture targets a narrow but important problem in portrait post-production: fast, repeatable skin retouching that removes blemishes and uneven tone without producing plasticky results. Rather than replacing manual dodging/burning and cloning entirely, Portraiture sits between full manual retouching and fully automatic “beautification” filters — it speeds repetitive skin-smoothing tasks while exposing controls for selective refinement, masking, and batch processing.

Key features (what distinguishes 4.5)

Technical behavior and workflow integration Portraiture operates by analyzing the image to build masks and then applying smoothing at multiple scales combined with tonal adjustment routines. Users commonly integrate it in one of three ways:

Conclusion Imagenomic Portraiture 4.5 (Build 4501) is a mature, workflow-oriented portrait retouching plugin that balances automation and control. Its AI-assisted masking, multi-scale smoothing, and batch/preset features make it a time-saving tool for professionals and advanced amateurs seeking consistent, natural skin retouching without fully relinquishing control to automatic filters. For studio pipelines where speed and consistent quality matter, Portraiture remains a practical and widely used choice; for the highest-end beauty work, it is best used in combination with manual retouching techniques. Older builds struggled with subjects who had vitiligo, severe freckles, or makeup-induced color casts. The new color-sampling engine in 4501 distinguishes between luminance noise and skin pigment. You can now set the mask to ignore bright red pimples but retain natural brown freckles.

Before diving into benchmarks, let's clarify the terminology. "Imagenomic Portraiture 4.5" is the software version. "Build 4501" is the specific compilation number released to the public.

While Version 4.0 introduced the "Magic Mask" and dual-view functionality, Build 4501 focuses on stability, speed, and precision. It is the result of six months of beta testing following the initial 4.0 rollout. Users who rely on high-resolution files (45MP to 100MP+) will notice the most dramatic improvements in this build. for the highest-end beauty work
