The IV cameras’ machine vision algorithms were trained to identify eight tools (shears, paddles, tweezers, etc.). The system now automatically tags video segments when specific tools are used, creating searchable archives. This is a boon for forensic craft analysis.
The IV AV-- 2 -Advanced Trial- -Glass Atelier- is more than a technical case study. It is a philosophical statement: that traditional craft and advanced imaging are not opposites, but allies. By subjecting a hot shop to the rigor of industrial vision and spatial audio, the trial has created a permanent, searchable, interactive record of human skill at its most volatile and beautiful.
For museum curators, glass artists, industrial trainers, and AV integrators, this project sets a new baseline. The next time you see a breathtaking glass sculpture, remember that behind the flame and breath, there may soon be an IV AV-- 2 rig quietly capturing every photon and every degree. The advanced trial has concluded. The production phase begins next quarter. And the glass atelier will never work in the dark again.
