The official PC version requires the Epic Games Launcher, which is famously bloated, slow, and requires an online connection to verify your license.
Compression: 9/10 FitGirl’s primary selling point is compression, and she delivers here. The original DLC and updates can be bloated, but the repack squeezes the files down significantly, saving gigabytes of download data. This is a godsend for the sizable KH3 install size.
Installation Speed: 6/10 The trade-off for high compression is CPU usage. During the "unpacking" phase, be prepared for your processor to sweat. If you are on an older HDD rather than an SSD, the installation can take hours. It is vital to disable your antivirus and Windows Defender during this process; otherwise, the repack’s executable files (often flagged falsely by security software) will be quarantined, corrupting the install.
Stability: 10/10 Once installed, the repack is incredibly stable. Because it is essentially a 1:1 copy of the game files with a custom installer, you aren't dealing with broken cracks or third-party launchers. If you already have the base game installed, you must ensure you install the DLC correctly to the right directory, but once done, the game runs flawlessly on the Steam/EOS integration.
The official Kingdom Hearts III with the 4K cutscenes and Re Mind DLC takes up roughly 75GB on a hard drive. The download size on Epic Games is also around 70GB. FitGirl’s repack, however, compresses this down to ~38GB.
