On any Windows Server version (2008 to 2022), ldp.exe is located in %SystemRoot%\System32\ldp.exe and %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\ldp.exe.
Another official source is the Windows ADK, which includes LDP.exe as part of the "Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE)" or "Deployment Tools" components. This method is overkill for most administrators but is still a legitimate way to obtain the binary if you cannot use RSAT or Windows Server.
Download the ADK from Microsoft:
Go to the official Microsoft ADK page (search "Windows ADK download") and install the lightweight version. You only need to select the "Deployment Tools" feature during installation. ldp.exe download microsoft

Crucially, Microsoft does not offer ldp.exe as a standalone downloadable file on its official Download Center or Microsoft Store. Instead, it is included as part of the Windows operating system and the Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT).
If you have access to a Windows Server instance (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, or 2025), LDP.exe is already present on the system. However, it might not be immediately visible unless you know where to look. Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-AD-Tools
