If your unit is running an older version like v1.x or v2.0.x, updating to v2.5.x is highly recommended. However, if you are already on v2.5.0, you are missing minimal changes.

    Should you upgrade if it’s working? The old engineering adage applies: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” However, if you are experiencing switch identification failures or PoE negotiation issues on new switches (e.g., Cisco 9300 series), an update is warranted.

    A firmware update might transform your LRAT-2000. Features like TruePower™ 802.3bt load testing or IPv6 discovery are often added post-launch.
