Most budget laser kits come with a small disc or a USB drive.
Do not download random "Universal Laser Driver" software from third-party sites. Always use the official source.
You have two primary options for controlling your Litefire: Litefire Laser Engraver Software Download
Litefire machines run on GRBL firmware. They do not use proprietary "Litefire Studio" software. Instead, the manufacturer partners with industry-standard tools.
LightBurn is the gold standard for laser engraving. It supports virtually every Litefire model (Diode, CO2, or Galvo). Most budget laser kits come with a small disc or a USB drive
Pro Tip: Litefire often includes a trial license key in the box. Check your "Getting Started" card before purchasing a full license.
Check your laser’s mainboard:
Verification on Windows: Open Device Manager → Ports (COM & LPT). You should see “USB-SERIAL CH340 (COMx).”
Verification on Mac: Open Terminal and type ls /dev/cu.wchusbserial*. If a result appears, the driver works.
Before your computer will talk to the Litefire, you likely need the CH340 USB driver. Litefire machines run on GRBL firmware
If you plug in your Litefire and nothing happens (or you see "Unknown USB Device"), this is your fix.
