Mitsubishi Multi Communication System Reset May 2026
Sometimes the indoor unit sees power, but the outdoor unit shows an "LED blinking 2 times" (Communication error). This requires a specific "Auto Address" reset.
As a last resort for persistent electrical glitches:
A blown fuse can cut power to the MMCS. Locate your interior fuse box (usually under the driver’s side dash or behind the glove box). Look for fuses labeled AUDIO, RADIO, MMCS, or CIGAR (cigarette lighter often shares a circuit). Replace any blown 10A or 15A fuse. mitsubishi multi communication system reset

Never run communication wires (TB5) in the same conduit as 208V/230V power wires. The electromagnetic induction creates "cross-talk" that forces constant resets. Keep a 2-inch gap.
This clears EEPROM (permanent memory). You will lose address settings, filter signs, and group control configurations. Only do this if the soft reset fails.
