Monster Hunter Tri (MH3) originally launched on the Wii in 2009 (JP) / 2010 (WW). While beloved for its underwater combat, the online hub Loc Lac City, and the introduction of Lagiacrus, the game was visually constrained by the Wii’s 480p resolution and limited texture memory. The Monster Hunter Tri HD Texture Pack is a community-driven project designed to overhaul the game’s visuals for play on PC via the Dolphin emulator, offering resolutions and detail levels far beyond what the original hardware could achieve.

Note: There are two main versions available. The "Vanilla Upscale" uses AI to perfectly preserve the original art style without changes. The "Re-imagined" pack uses manual Photoshop editing to add new details not originally present. We recommend the Upscale for purists. The maintainers are also experimenting with Generative AI
