• Accept license terms and choose install directory (default: C:\Program Files\MyCOMSelection).
  • When prompted, enter database connection details:
  • Provide application service account (local system or domain account) to run the app service.
  • Configure web settings (if web UI):
  • Enter license key or point to license file when requested.
  • Complete installation; opt to start service or reboot if prompted.
  • Set up roles and permissions (Admin, Evaluator, Reviewer, Viewer).
  • Create or import scoring templates and criteria.
  • Import initial data (vendors, proposals) via CSV/Excel import tool.
  • Configure email notifications (SMTP server, from address) for alerts and approvals.
  • Schedule regular database backups and application health checks.

    Note: Do not attempt installation on Windows Home editions or Linux environments without a virtualization layer—this will result in driver signing errors.

    Open the Mycom Selection Software, go to Diagnostics → Test Connection.

    You must have local administrative rights. The installation writes to Program Files, modifies system registry keys, and installs kernel-level drivers for real-time communication. Running as a standard user will halt the process with a UAC (User Account Control) error.
