Note: This patch works for the PC version of NFS: Most Wanted (2005) Black Edition v1.3.

However, v1.3 introduced a new problem: it broke widescreen support and modded cars. EA quickly followed up with patch v1.4 in March 2006, which further stabilized the Blacklist triggers but did not retroactively fix corrupted saves.
