Cause: Wrong DA file or preloader mismatch. Solution: Your scatter file is verified, but your Preloader file inside the firmware folder is corrupt. Replace preloader_nokia31.bin with a known-good version from a different firmware build.

Use Miracle Box or NCK Box to read NVRAM before flashing. Or, after verification, uncheck the “NVRAM” partition in SP Flash Tool to avoid overwriting it. Cause: Wrong DA file or preloader mismatch

Open the scatter file in Notepad++. A verified version will list exactly 30–32 partitions. If you see 15 partitions, it is a generic dump and will fail. Open the scatter file in Notepad++

The partition sizes defined within the scatter file were cross-referenced with the standard Nokia 3.1 partition table.
