The original 4/5AA NiMH pack is obsolete. You have two options:

Option A (Easy): AA Adapter The Myo XP battery case can hold 3 AA batteries. If your original rechargeable pack is dead, simply remove it and use 3 disposable Lithium or NiMH AAs. No soldering required. petzl myo xp repair 2021

Option B (DIY Rebuild)

Warning: Do not use 18650 Li-ion cells without a voltage regulator; the Myo XP is designed for 3.6V nominal (3x1.2V), not 4.2V. The original 4/5AA NiMH pack is obsolete

If you have a genuine 2021 reissue (unlikely): Contact Petzl directly. They have a 3-year warranty on electronic defects. Serial number is under the battery door.

  • Avoid Over-Lubrication: Excess oil attracts dirt and can interfere with the assisted braking function.
