Seafight Bots
Over the years, a taxonomy of automation has emerged. Not all bots are equal.
| Bot Type | Complexity | Risk Level | Primary Use | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Macro Recorder | Low | Medium | Repeating a short sail loop for 1 hour. | | Pixel Clicker | Low | Low | Auto-shooting in PvE only. | | Script Injection | High | Extreme | Teleporting, speed hacking, auto-harvesting. | | Full AI Farmer | Very High | Low (temporarily) | Reads the map, adjusts to spawn changes, solves Captchas. | seafight bots
The most dangerous for the game's health is the Full AI Farmer. These are often subscription-based software sold on underground forums for $20-$50 per month. Over the years, a taxonomy of automation has emerged
Seafight is a browser-based MMOG where players build ships, gather resources, and engage in PvP/PvE naval combat. "Seafight bots" refer to unauthorized automation tools that perform repetitive in-game tasks. While they promise efficiency, they violate the game’s Terms of Service (ToS), risk account bans, and undermine fair play. | | Pixel Clicker | Low | Low | Auto-shooting in PvE only
Ironically, many players argue they must bot just to keep up. If 30% of the server is farming 24/7 with bots, a manual player cannot compete on the Auction House or in resource stockpiles. Bots become a de-facto standard for competitive guilds.
Bigpoint (now part of Gamigo) is aware of the bot plague. They have implemented several layers of defense, with varying degrees of success.
