No indie build is perfect. Here are the confirmed issues:

| Bug ID | Description | Workaround | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | #041 | Day 12 – Slime Queen event loops endlessly | Reload auto-save from Day 11, choose “Aggressive” dialogue option first. | | #042 | Enchanted Silk counter resets after upgrade | Do not upgrade the Silk Weaver until you have 5 silks saved. | | #043 | Dragonkin CG shows wrong character model | This is a pathing error. Rename dragonkin.png to dragonkin_old.png in the /cg/ folder. | | #044 | Save corruption on Day 30 | Never save while the “VIP Waiting” icon is flashing. Exit to main menu first. |

Developer Note (By Code...): A hotfix (v.240805) is rumored to address #043 and #044. Follow the dev’s Patreon for early access.

“By Code...” has a reputation for punishing grind. This build introduces three major systems:

Score: 6.5 / 10
(Above average for its niche, but not a standout.)

The developer left debug commands active in this build. Press ~ (tilde) and type:

The game features a party system. You don’t fight monsters; you “recruit” staff. Here are the key characters in this build:

| Name | Race | Role | Unlock Condition (v.240803) | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Lillia | Half-Elf | Bartender/Confidant | Default (Tutorial) | | Morga | Orc (Feminine variant) | Bouncer/Security | Reach Day 7 with Rep > 50 | | Yuki | Kitsune | Entertainer/Treasurer | Solve the “Foxfire Debt” quest | | Vex’alia | Arachne | Room Manager | New in v.240803 – Found in Silkweave Alley | | Queen Phyla | Slime | Special Events | Defeat the “Gelatinous Plot” mini-game |

Developer Note (By Code...): In version 240803, the Slime Queen’s dialogue tree now includes a loyalty flag. Choosing sarcastic answers increases her affection by 2x, while polite answers decrease it. This is a counter-intuitive design choice that many players initially miss.

A demon lord envoy arrives. In v.240803, the envoy is now a female dragonkin (changed from a male orc in previous builds). Her request: “Exclusive access to the backroom.”

Pro Tip: Accept. The thugs in Day 5 are manageable, but the Dragon’s Boon is essential for late-game.
