Skyworth Hp4024 Work Link

Even when things are supposed to work, the HP4024 can be finicky. Here are real fixes from the community.

| Issue | Cause | Fix | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | No Ethernet | S905Y2 lacks MAC. | Use a USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter (ASIX or Realtek chipset). Android TV 10+ has built-in drivers. | | Wi-Fi Drops | Power-saving mode on the Amlogic Wi-Fi module. | In Developer Options, disable "Wi-Fi scan throttling" and set "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to Always. | | Remote lag | Bluetooth 5.0 interference with USB 3.0 ports. | Use a USB 2.0 extension cable between the box and the USB device. | | Brick after flash | Wrong bootloader version. | Short the NAND pins (pins 29 & 30 on the EMMC) to force USB Burning Tool into Mask ROM mode. |

To understand if this device "works" for you, compare it to modern rivals.

| Feature | Skyworth HP4024 | Chromecast with Google TV (HD) | Xiaomi Mi Box S 2nd Gen | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Price (Used) | $20 - $35 | $30 | $50 | | RAM | 2GB | 1.5GB | 2GB | | AV1 Support | Yes | No | No | | Ethernet Port | No (USB needed) | No | No | | Rootable | Yes (via Magisk) | No | Limited | | Operator Bloat | Heavy (but removable) | None | Minimal | skyworth hp4024 work

Verdict: If you find one for under $30, it is a better value than a new Chromecast due to AV1 support and 2GB RAM. But only if you are willing to spend 30 minutes debloating it.

Subject: Issue getting Skyworth HP4024 to work with [Device/PC] – Need Advice Even when things are supposed to work, the

Hi everyone,

I recently picked up a Skyworth HP4024, but I’m running into some trouble getting it to work properly with my setup.

The Issue: I’m trying to connect it via [HDMI/VGA], but the screen keeps showing "No Signal" despite the laptop detecting the monitor. I’ve tried updating drivers and swapping cables, but the issue persists. Best for: If you are asking for help

Has anyone else experienced this with the HP4024 model? Is there a specific setting in the OSD menu I’m missing, or could this be a firmware issue?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Verdict: It works as a Kodi/Plex box, but not as a primary Netflix machine.
