Unlike hidden debug modes of the past, the Customizer is refreshingly intuitive. Upon booting Sonic 3 Complete, you are not thrown directly into Angel Island Zone. Instead, you are greeted by a sleek, blue main menu with three options:

Q: I toggled "Drop Dash" but it isn't working. A: Make sure you are holding down the jump button on landing while holding left or right. Also, ensure "Physics: Classic" is not overriding the new input buffer. Load ROM

Q: My music changed, but now the sound effects are glitchy. A: This is rare. Go to Customizer > Audio > Force PCM Fix. The Customizer automatically adjusts the sound driver to match your music choice.

Q: Can I access the Customizer in the middle of a game? A: No. Due to Genesis memory constraints, the Customizer only loads on the main menu. Changes require a game reset (though saves are retained).
