Originally popularized by modder Sacrificial (creator of the "Extreme Violence" mod), this genre allows Sims to commit murders that are anything but the classic "death by embarrassment." We are talking about mass shootings, serial stabbings, gang executions, and school shootings. The animations are shockingly detailed, complete with blood splatters and terrified reactions from children Sims. A sub-mod allows Sims to become "Torturers," keeping victims in basements for prolonged physical abuse.
EA has a peculiar relationship with mods. They officially support "non-commercial, safe-for-work" mods, but they do not police adult mods on third-party sites. However, in 2022, EA quietly updated their User Agreement to prohibit mods that "promote hate, violence, discrimination, or illegal activities." Since incest, bestiality, and sexual violence are illegal in many jurisdictions (or at least against platform terms of service), EA now has grounds to ban users who publicly share the most extreme taboo mods.
