The Mystery Villa -ep. 7- -dx Games- Review

Absolutely. For fans of escape rooms, The Mystery Villa -Ep. 7- -Dx Games- represents the peak of the series' middle arc. It solves the "short game" problem by offering roughly 45-60 minutes of gameplay (compared to Ep 1’s 15 minutes). The puzzles are fair but challenging, and the twist ending re-contextualizes every previous episode.

You can download The Mystery Villa series for free on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Episode 7 is available as a separate download or via the Season Pass bundle.

You find a scorched notebook in the coal chute. The handwriting matches the villa’s missing groundskeeper. He writes: “They didn’t want me to open the iron door. But I heard singing behind it. Not human.”

Episode 7 ends with you unlocking that iron door — only to find a child’s nursery, perfectly preserved, with a music box playing a reversed lullaby. The final puzzle asks you to find “the name that was erased from the family tree.” The Mystery Villa -Ep. 7- -Dx Games-

While Episodes 1-4 were gentle introductions, Episode 7 assumes you understand the game's logic. There are no hand-holding tutorials. The chemical mixing puzzle, in particular, frustrated many players but delighted chemistry nerds.

Pros:
✔ Genuinely creepy atmosphere for a mobile game
✔ Clever dual-room puzzle design
✔ No pixel-hunting; hitboxes are generous

Cons:
✖ Some logic leaps feel unfair (e.g., using a wrench on a pipe that looks decorative)
✖ Hint system spoils too much (direct answer instead of nudging)
✖ Short for the price (if bought individually, ~$1.99)

Actionable interrogation order: Cook (early), Maeve (after mirror), Basil (last with ledger). This order unlocks max information and the Episode 7 alternate ending. Absolutely

Dx Games introduces a hidden "Trust Matrix" that becomes visible only in Episode 7’s post-credits screen. Every dialogue option, every examined object, and every accusation from Episodes 1-6 contributed to a numerical value that dictates which of the remaining characters sides with you in Episode 7’s final standoff.

In my playthrough, I had cultivated a rapport with the reclusive botanist, Dr. Voss. Consequently, when the electrics failed and a saboteur trapped me in the wine cellar, Dr. Voss appeared with a crowbar—not out of friendship, but because I had previously spared his toxicology notes from being destroyed. This cause-and-effect, delayed by several episodes, is where The Mystery Villa transcends its mobile-game origins.

1. The Starting Area (Garden/Gate):

2. Inside the Main Hall:

3. The Stuck Drawer Puzzle (Common Stuck Point):

4. Final Door (Basement Exit):

With Episode 7 ending on the reveal that the "Villa" is a decimated colony ship, Episode 8 promises to be a sci-fi horror hybrid. Until then, keep your eyes open, detective. The Gardener is still watching.
