TS12 is 32-bit and can only use ~3.5GB of RAM. These verified tweaks help:

A verified locomotive might have 50,000 polygons. Place 50 of them in a yard, and TS12 will stutter. Use LOD-enabled verified mods – they reduce polygon count at a distance. TS12 is 32-bit and can only use ~3
Some verified mods require older versions of assets (e.g., a script library). Use the "List Dependencies" feature in Content Manager. Right-click > Dependencies > View in Main List. Ensure all are also verified. A verified locomotive might have 50,000 polygons
