Executable files named “FacebookPrivateViewer.exe” or “FBPhotoHack.apk” are often remote access trojans (RATs) or spyware. Once installed, they can:

Statistic: According to a 2023 report by Kaspersky, 94% of “social media hacking tools” distributed via forums or YouTube contain malware.

Over the years, countless methods have circulated on forums, YouTube, and shady websites. Here’s the truth about each major myth:

While you cannot see photos in the Albums section of a private profile, Facebook’s tagging system is slightly more porous. If your target has been tagged in a photo by a mutual friend—and that mutual friend has their privacy settings set to "Friends of Friends" or "Public"—you can see that specific photo.

How to do it:

The Catch: You cannot see photos the target uploaded themselves. You cannot see albums tagged "Friends Only." You are essentially viewing the mutual friend’s photo, not the target's private album.

Many people assume that if their friend is tagged in a private photo, they can see it. False. If the photo’s owner set it to “Friends Only,” only their friends can see it – not friends of the tagged person. Tagging does not override the original privacy setting.

Claim: Search engines or archive services may have cached a private photo before it was made private.

Reality: Google Cache only stores publicly accessible pages. If a photo was ever public and later made private, there is a tiny possibility it was indexed. However, Facebook uses noarchive meta tags and robots.txt to prevent caching of private content. The Wayback Machine cannot access private Facebook content due to login requirements.

Verdict: ❌ Extremely unlikely. Works only for photos that were publicly posted at the time of crawling.

If you are an employer or recruiter trying to vet a candidate, consider using Facebook’s “Limited Profile” feature (unrelated to privacy bypass, but allows you to request specific professional information). Alternatively, ask the candidate to connect with you on LinkedIn instead.
