Note for AMD Ryzen users: macOS guests require a custom kernel (AMD Vanilla patches). The unlocker alone is not enough; you will need an AMD-specific macOS installer image.
The VMware Unlocker is an open-source tool originally developed by Zenith432 and later maintained by a community of developers (DrDonk, pa-0, etc.). Its purpose is simple: modify the VMware back-end files to remove the macOS restriction.

VMware Unlocker is a third-party tool that patches VMware Workstation Pro, Player, and ESXi to bypass Apple’s hardware restrictions. By default, VMware products do not allow macOS installation on non-Apple hardware (even though macOS can technically run on certain Intel/AMD systems).
