The original JPN release had untranslated English text for "Exit" and "Retry" buttons. Rev 1 changes these to Japanese kanji (終了 / リトライ) for full localization.

Rev 0 was the launch printing. Rev 1 came quietly several months later, once Hudson Soft acknowledged the crash reports. Fewer copies of Rev 1 were produced because the game’s sales momentum had already faded. Estimates from Japanese auction tracking (via Yahoo Auctions JP) suggest only 1 in 10 copies sold in Japan are Rev 1.
