The crisis began on October 14, 1962, when American spy planes detected Soviet nuclear-armed ballistic missiles being constructed in Cuba, just 90 miles from the United States. This action by the Soviet Union was perceived as a direct threat to U.S. national security. President John F. Kennedy and his administration considered several options, ranging from a military invasion of Cuba to airstrikes against the missile sites. However, they ultimately decided on a naval quarantine of the island to prevent any further missiles from entering Cuba. Cuban Missile Crisis- Ice Crusade download for pc -PC-

Released in 2005, Ice Crusade runs on an older 3D engine. By modern standards, it looks dated:

However, the art direction is strong. The constant grey-white sky, blowing snow particles, and barren, shell-cratered landscapes create a genuinely bleak, cold-war-gone-hot atmosphere. Explosions kick up black smoke that contrasts sharply with the white snow. Developer: G5 Software Publisher: 1C Company Platform: PC

Sound design is a mixed bag:

| Issue | Solution | | :--- | :--- | | "Missing d3dx9_42.dll" | Download and install DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime. | | Black screen on launch | Alt+Enter to switch to windowed mode, then back. | | No sound in cutscenes | Set audio quality to "24-bit, 44100 Hz" in Windows sound settings. | | Game crashes during mission 4 | Lower texture quality to "Medium" in the settings menu. | | Game | Similarity to Ice Crusade |
