Do not launch via the desktop shortcut yet. Navigate to the install folder and run Neonx_Launcher_DEBUG.exe first. If you see a pink wireframe cube spinning, close it. This warms up the shader cache. Then, use the regular shortcut.
Success indicator: If done correctly, your desktop wallpaper will dim, pink neon rings will pulse from your mouse cursor, and Silly will say, "You finally got it right, dummy."
